How to Apply

 Set up a Shadow Day for your student. 
 Apply! The application is available online. Applications for the following school year are available starting November 1st. See more information below.
 Send Release of Records form to the school your student currently attends.
 Schedule (and take!) placement tests. (See Testing Information below.)
 Once we have received all the items above, we will schedule an interview with the principal.
 Upon receipt of Letter of Acceptance, pay enrollment (Priority $350 or Late $850) and technology fees, and tuition.

Dallas Lutheran School (DLS) encourages prospective students to apply as early as is convenient for the family. The application must be completed with supplemental forms before the parent-student interview will be scheduled.  The application fee of $100 must be submitted with your application, and the enrollment fee is due upon acceptance to Dallas Lutheran School.

Creating an Online Application 

The 2022/2023 application will open on November 1, 2021. To begin the Online Application process, please create an account. Once you have logged into your account, create a new student application for your child.  You will then have the flexibility to Log in and out of your account and access your child's application at any time.  There you will be able to print the completed application, monitor when the school receives supplemental application forms, and if necessary, reprint the supplemental forms.

Application Dates and Deadlines


Applications Open Online: November 1, 2021.

$100 Application Fee Due with Submission

Priority Application Deadline: January 31, 2022

Supplemental Application Documents and ISEE Results Deadline: February 15, 2022

Principal Interviews: February 14–March 11, 2022

Priority Acceptance Offers Mailed: March 14, 2022

Applications will be accepted after the Priority Application and Enrollment dates, but will be considered late; offers will be made on a space available basis. 

Enrollment Fee After March 25, 2022 is $850

Dallas Lutheran School Entrance
and Scholarship Testing Information

DLS uses the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). The ISEE is a three-hour test. Students may test at a number of sites, in the Dallas area, including DLS, and online.

DLS will administer the ISEE on several Saturdays during testing season.

Fees vary according to advance registration.

Dallas Lutheran School offers academic scholarships, awarded based on the results of the student's math and essay scores on their entrance exam (ISEE).  All new to Dallas Lutheran School students, taking the ISEE by February 28, 2021 will automatically be considered for scholarship awards.  There is no scholarship application.

Nine academic scholarships are available:

-Two scholarships for $2000 per year

-Three scholarships for $1000 per year

-Four scholarships for $500 per year

These scholarship awards are good for each continuous year a student is enrolled at Dallas Lutheran School and maintains a GPA of 85% or better.

These scholarships are not the only financial aid available. 

Only students that have completed applications for admission to Dallas Lutheran School and have paid the $100 application fee are eligible for scholarships and financial aid.
