Introduction

LETTER TO THE STUDENT/ATHLETE:

Please take the time to thoroughly read this handbook and note what is expected of you. We, as a coaching staff, feel that these rules are needed to help mold you into the person God wants you to be. If you feel that you can abide by these rules, then I welcome you to join us in serving our Lord with the talents He has given us. You need to remember that the opportunity to compete at Dallas Lutheran School is a PRIVILEGE and not a RIGHT.

LETTER TO THE PARENTS:

Please read through this handbook with your child and discuss with them the importance of abiding by a set of given rules. We, as a coaching staff, would appreciate your support and urge you to discuss with your child the possible outcomes should any of these guidelines not be followed.

May the Lord bless our joint efforts to serve Him to the best of our abilities. May we be able to show love and concern when it comes to correcting the things we have done wrong and give us courage to confront the things we see that are contrary to what we know to be God pleasing. May we never feel like we are the only ones who have gone astray, but always remember, WE ARE NOT PERFECT, MERELY FORGIVEN AND LOVED!
