The Lion-Backers Club is a group of Lion Football Fans made up of Alumni, Parents and community members, who pay for an annual membership that grants them unprecedented access to Coaches meetings and games.
This membership grants you an invitation to a weekly dinner and Coach's "chalk talk". The Chalk-talk covers last week's game and the current weeks scouting reports on the upcoming opponent utilizing video clips and playbooks. Lion-Backer Members meet at 6:30pm, at Dallas Lutheran on every game week Tuesday night throughout the course of the football season. The dinners will be catered by various off campus restaurants who support Lion Football. This list includes, but is not exclusive to Mimi's, Dickies, Maggiano's and Herreras. The evening includes dinner, a chalk talk covering the offensive and defensive game plans along with a player of the week interview. The duration of these dinners will be approximately one hour, to 7:30pm, although questions are fielded until the Members are content.
In conjunction with the dinner there will also be a drawing held for each home game. This drawing is for members only, of which two Lion-Backer members will be granted two souvenir "field passes" for that week's game. The passes are for the member and one guest of their choice. These passes actually grant access to be on the sideline for the game.
The function of the Lion-Backers club is to build a stronger bridge of communication, excitement and general good will with the Lutheran High Community, the football fan in particular. Along with furthering the relationship of Lion football with its community we will be raising program funds that will go directly to the football program. This in turn will be improving the product we offer our student athletes and fans.
The cost of becoming a member of the Lion-Backer Club is as follows. $275 for a Royal Membership, $500 for a Gold Membership and $1,000 for a Platinum membership.
