Fall Sports Wrapup

November 15, 2016

Fall 2016 has been a very successful time for Dallas Lutheran Athletics.  The High School varsity football team has advanced to the second round of the TAPPS state playoffs after finishing the season in second place in their District.  It is the first time since 2010 that the team had advanced this far.

Speaking of football, the Middle School team finished with an undefeated 10-0 record.  This established a new record for most victories in a season.

On the volleyball front, the High School team advanced to the TAPPS state playoffs for the ninth time in the last ten years.  Unfortunately they lost a close match in the first round, but that did not take away from their regular season successes.  The Middle School volleyball team also had an exceptional year, finishing second in their District and only losing three matches all year long.

Not to be outdone, our cross country team also had some great moments.  The High School boys team finished fifth in state as a team and freshmen Jonathon Gregorich finished 8th out of over 100 runners at the state meet.
