It's time for Penny Wars! What is Penny Wars, you say? There are 3 containers in the main office. Students put coins and bills in the containers. At the end of each day, each container is counted. Pennies are counted as 1 point each. Any other coin or bill is subtracted. If you want your class to win, you might put a $5 bill in the other two containers so at the end of the day, 500 points are subtracted from their scores. It’s all for a good cause, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. 7th and 9th will be a team, 8th and 10th will be a team, 11th and 12th will be a team (for more even numbers).
Speaker, Becky Tinney, Community Prevention Coordinator from the Council on Alcohol and Drugs will be there to present part two of her informative talk, "Teenager Danger! Everything Parents Need to Know But Are Afraid to Ask." You will not want to miss this. There will be an enchilada dinner catered by Guess Who is Coming to Dinner. Cost is $5 for dinner. Pay at the door. This meeting is for PTF members. You are welcome to join PTF at the door if you are not yet a member.
