College is a wonderful time to learn, grow and further prepare for a future of service to God and His people in any vocation of choice.

At DLS, we strive to challenge and prepare our students for the rigor of college, and to learn the value of maintaining a healthy balance between a career and life outside of work.

We encourage the formation of healthy habits, not only physical, but especially spiritual and academic. College can put study habits, faith habits, and even nutritional habits to the test. I take great pride in the college-readiness program at Dallas Lutheran School.

And we don't just talk the talk.

At Dallas Lutheran, college-readiness is one of our top priorities. And, our students graduate and go to college.

In 2023, our class of 30 graduates received over $6 million in scholarships and aid from 77 colleges and universities, and our students are attending 25 colleges in 12 states.

Coffee & Conversations Series at DLS

We are pleased to announce our new Coffee & Conversations Series at DLS on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

Our Director of College Planning, Rachel Butler-Ripley, will present her individualized College Planning program. And she will talk about how her program gained over $6 million in scholarships and aid to our 33 graduates in the class of 2023 from 77 schools and who are now attending 25 colleges in 12 states.

College Planning Resources

Service Hours

Dallas Lutheran School requires students to accumulate 60 hours of community service credit between the first day of their freshman year and the end of the first semester of their senior year. This helps students learn and appreciate the joy of being “other centered” as well as proclaim the Gospel of Christ to the community. This community service is done in addition to participation in Beyond My Front Door events. Community Service projects MUST be authorized prior to the beginning of the project. Up to 30 of the 60 required hours may be earned at DLS. Service hours may NOT be earned for a project for which students are compensated. Service hours received from Mission Trips and serving as a camp counselor are capped at 10 hours a day. (Travel days are not accepted.) Service hours must be earned outside of the normal school day. Service hours must meet the needs of or benefit a non-profit organization or community agency. Service hours may not be earned for projects sponsored by parents, relatives, or friends.

Students must use the school provided service hour documentation form for to submit their service hours.

Transcript Request

Dallas Lutheran School has partnered with Parchment, a leader in eTranscript exchange, to send high school transcripts electronically, securely and confidentially, to colleges and universities of your choice! The service is available online, 24 hours a day and seven days a week.

Students and alumni simply request a transcript and designate the academic institution, organization or individual that they would like to receive it. Users will be notified when their request is complete and can also track the status of their request or view a saved copy of their transcript.

The cost for current students and LHS/DLS alumni is $6.15 per copy.
