Fine Arts

Students at Dallas Lutheran School are encouraged and given the opportunity to explore their imagination and creativity in a variety of ways through the fine arts.

Opportunities for music include the choir and band, but also a worship team called Revive, which leads the chapel music. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged in developing musical abilities.

Each year the drama department produces three productions: fall, winter and spring. The spring production is traditionally a musical production that pulls out all the stops. Recent musicals include: The Wizard of Oz, Big Bad Musical, Joseph and Technicolor Dreamcoat, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Beauty and the Beast. Other recent shows include: Don't Drink the Water, You Can't Take It With You, and Odd Couple. Students participate in all areas of the theatre from promotion, set design, costumes and acting to sound and lights.

Students taking courses in art will have opportunity for artistic expression from the spectrum of mediums, including ceramics, photography and three dimensional. Artwork is displayed for the enjoyment of others at fall and spring fine arts nights and student work is entered annually into TAPPS competitions.
